Bryant, Jackson, Ray Named USCAA All-Americans

RICHMOND, Va. - The Apprentice School women's basketball team put three players on the USCAA All-American list with Jada Bryant earning first team honors, Nyla Jackson second team honors and Amaya Ray named an honorable mention Sunday.

Bryant leads the Builders in scoring this season, averaging a double-double with 15.3 points and 11.9 rebounds per contest. The freshman from Norfolk has eight double-doubles on the season, including a season high 28 points against Appalachian Bible on January 28 and 20 rebounds against Trinity (D.C.) on January 13.

Jackson is the second leading scorer for Apprentice, putting up 12.5 points per contest, including a 29-point performance against Regent on February 12. Ray is third on the team with 11.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 4.3 steals per game.

The Builders will take on D'Youville tomorrow night at 8 p.m. at Virginia State.
