Bryant Named VaSID All-State Second Team

WINCHESTER, Va. - The Apprentice School women's basketball player Jada Bryant was named to the Virginia Sports Information Director's All-State Second Team, the association announced Tuesday afternoon.

Bryant is the first women's basketball player since Kenya Wilkerson in 2014-15 to earn a nod from VaSID and the fifth Builder all-time in women's basketball program history to gain the honor. April Steele earned the honor twice, Anita Allen three times and Rahshann Lewter joined Wilkerson and Bryant on the list.

Bryant averaged a double-double of 17 points and 11.5 rebounds per contest this season, earning first team USCAA All-American honors as well as All-NSAC First Team accolades. The freshman from Norfolk, Virginia, had 10 double-doubles on the year as the Builders earned the No. 6 seed in the USCAA National Tournament.
