Golf Finishes Match Play Weekend on High Note

HARRODSBURG, Ky. - The Apprentice School golf team played 54 holes of match play this past weekend, finishing on a high note by winning three out of five matches in Sunday's round.

After a tough start against the host's A team Saturday morning that saw the Builders drop all five matches, four of which at 4 & 3, the tide turned in the afternoon session against Pikeville. Jeremy Carr won his match 4 & 3 to set the table for Sunday's match against Campbellsville-Harrodsburg's B team.

Carr and Ethan Flanders won their Sunday matches by a 4 & 3 score, while Grant Swanger won 3 & 2. Kai Crockett and Alex Palus battled hard, but ultimately fell by a 2 down score.

The Builders will turn around to play at the Shenandoah Invite on Monday in a one day, 36-hole event.
