Five Builders Win Bouts at JMU

Harrisonburrg, VA - The Apprentice School sent seven wrestlers from the squad to James Madison University Sunday to compete in the first State Supremacy Duels with the intent to find some much needed mat time against NCWA opponents they haven't seen this season. 

Several rookies on the squad secured solid wins over regional opponents from across the east coast.  Sophomores Billy Ott and Caleb Hartung were both 2-1 on the day at 197 lbs, while Freshman Rickey Abercrombie was 1-1 at 235 lbs, gutting out a win in overtime against host JMU.
 
Freshman Zach Ortega was 1-1 on the day, bumping up from 141 to 149 and 157 and Freshman Drew Porter found a come from behind win over conference foe Emory & Henry.  FInally, Senior Darek Dabbs recorded a tech-pin over Rutgers in his first bout.
 
Next up; The Builders will travel to Philadelphia next Saturday for several NCWA dual meets at Temple University.
